Every year, also thanks to the support of the community, the Rotary Club of Yarmouth, performs these important service activities. Club projects have included: Scholarships, awarded to deserving graduates of the High School and NSCC Burridge Campus. Sponsorship of one high school student to the Adventures in Citizenship program in Ottawa. Sponsorship of the Yarmouth High School band with purchase of instruments and uniforms. Major contributor to the Regional Health Center Expansion. Applications for local scholars toward the prestigious Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship awarded by Rotary International District 7820, (43 clubs). Sponsorship of one Rotary International Youth Exchange program participant annually and the hosting of an international student. Hosting of International visitors with the Group Study Exchange program of Rotary’s Foundation.
